Dear Neighbor,

I'm Mayor Katjana Ballantyne, and running for re-election to protect our recent progress, our values, and our vulnerable communities against attacks from Washington and the uncertain economy. 

Somerville needs a proven leader who will stand up for our shared values and protect the progress we've made together. In the past three years, we've launched successful programs to support residents, local businesses, families, seniors, and veterans, and made strides in COVID recovery. We've also implemented groundbreaking initiatives to promote affordability, job creation, infrastructure investment, equity, and safety.

I envision an inclusive, equitable Somerville, where we can all thrive together. In the transition from COVID-19 recovery, to defending our recent progress and values against threats from Washington, and into our long-term initiatives, we must make sure that Somerville's residents, businesses, and institutions will not only survive, but thrive.

We can't afford to lose momentum or risk losing these advancements. Now is the time for experienced leadership and a commitment to building a stronger future for all.

I'm proud of my record of delivering results that make life better for residents. I'm confident that my leadership is what Somerville needs to safeguard our recent progress and to keep making Somerville and even better place where we can all thrive together.
